Slag Off Your Boss on Facebook!

Earlier May, I have posted about how Facebook can really get you killed. This is another version of Facebook massacre! A woman was fired from her job after she posted disparaging remarks about her boss on social networking site Facebook.

A woman named Lindsay, updated her status on the site with “OMG I HATE MY JOB!!” She also added: “My boss is a total pervy wanker always making me do shit stuff just to piss me off!!”

Forgetting that she had added her boss into her friend list before posting that insulting rant, the boss, named Brian, replied to his employees: “That shit stuff” is called your “job”, you know, what I pay you to do. And lastly, you also seem to have forgotten that you have two weeks left on your six-month trial period. Don’t bother coming in tomorrow.

This intriguing case has raised alarms for the employees to check twice before they use their freedom of expression on social networking platforms, particularly when they have their bosses added in the friend list and you should be aware too. Check your friend lists and don’t simply publish your thought.

    Oh man, that story is awful! Could you imagine? Our lives aren't so private anymore, but maybe you shouldn't add your boss as a facebook friend? That's just weird. On a side note, has anyone heard of Pagerage? I just started using this app for facebook layouts and it is so cool. I highly encourage avid facebooker's to check it out.
