His wife, Theresa Jimbun, 64, found the body in a pool of blood at about 5.30am. It was believed that Loong used a razor blade to slit his wrist while his wife was asleep in the next room.
Theresa disclosed a disturbing thought Loong repeatedly told her. “He kept telling me that he wanted to kill himself because he could not take the suffering anymore. In fact, he wanted me to take his life,” claimed Theresa, a pensioner.
She said her husband was supposed to be warded at the hospital here but he insisted on being discharged, on reasons that he wanted to rest at home, late Wednesday.
The body was sent to the district hospital for a postmortem and it was confirmed that Loong died from excessive blood loss.
