It was not the first time Tenom and its surrounding areas experienced the downpour. Most areas affected are villages near the river streak. It was mainly caused by the high rise of water level of the Padas River. As the Daily Express refers the heavy rainfall as a phenomenon, I cannot tell of how Tenom is inured right now. According to my source back home, the situation is under control and only the affecting areas struggle to recuperate as those who are affected was given the green light to go back home (as reported in TV3 news today)
I hope all my relatives and friends of kg. Tumantalik, Mandalom and Batu-Batu to be patient and cautious. I pray for everyone safety back home.
P/s: I was quiet surprised the Tenom flood covered on TV3 news for 3 days in a row. For us at Tenom, it just an ordinary time of the year. Macam mo tunjuk-tunjuk durang ambil berat kunu. Sudah tarantuk baru tabatuk ka? Batuk darah?
